My name is Bernd Bartels. I was principal trumpet at the MDR Symphony Orchestra for 32 years and took early retirement with the corona pandemic. Since the music business has started again, I am working as a freelancer again, among other things, on a project of the Weimar Staatskapelle. For this project I need a C trumpet with perinet machine. My old service instrument (Schilke), I had to give up when I left the MDR. So I asked the instrument maker I trust, Jacob Simon, to lend me an instrument for this project. There were three instruments to choose from: A Yamaha, a handmade master instrument, and your model. After playing it, I decided on your model. In the meantime, the first rehearsals have taken place in Weimar and my enthusiasm finds no end! A really complicated project! Chamber music instrumentation: trombone, trumpet, flute, saxophone and 4 strings. Your instrument impresses with impeccable intonation! a reliable, smooth-running machine and a timbre that blends perfectly in the ensemble! All this at a sensational price/performance ratio! I did not borrow the instrument, but bought it immediately! My congratulations!
